At the beginning of June 2019, Guanghua Law School of Zhejiang University welcomed Professor Oh Hyun Suk from South Korea.
Professor Oh Hyun Suk is currently the Executive Director of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB) at Seoul International Dispute Resolution Center (SIDRC). He is also a lecturer at Korea National University, classified one of the top prestigious universities in South Korea.
During his visit from June 4thto 7th, Professor Oh delivered four lectures relating to the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). His course mainly sets for LLM and SJD student enrolled in 2018. Hence during two days, our Chinese students and LLM/SJD students had the opportunity to participate to the Professor Oh Hyun Suk’s classes on Alternative Dispute Resolution.
His class covered many fundamental contents about alternative dispute resolution such as negotiation, mediation, conciliation and arbitration. And it also covered many important practical aspects of alternative dispute resolution.
It was a huge opportunity for Zhejiang University students to share and exchange their opinions directly with Professor Oh, and then receive an expert point of view from the Professor Oh about the ADR. It was also a suitable platform for every Chinese and International students to debate about the ADR’s theoretical and practical issues under Professor Oh’s supervision.
Further Professor Oh have taken this opportunity to share with students his practical experience gained from his prolific career as Executive Director of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board.
Finally Professor Oh’s classes were definitely a rewarding experience for students. They showed their thankfulness to the professor, and this experience ended with happiness and rich gains. We are looking forward for further enriching experience in the future.
