Born in July 1963, He Lianzhen is Vice President of Zhejiang University, Professor in College of International Studies. Her major research field is language testing and applied linguistics. She is the lecturer on courses such as Language Assessment, Language Testing, and Discourse Analysis.

She has presided over 10 projects sponsored by National Social Science Fund, National Office for Education Sciences Planning, and Ministry of Education. She has published 3 monographs such as Computerized Cognitive Adaptability Test, and more than 50 papers in international journals such as Language Testing, Language Assessment Quarterly, Foreign Language Teaching and Research, and Modern Foreign Language.
