Born in July, 1956, Nanjing city, Jiangsu Province, he is now working in the Department of Philosophy, Zhejiang University, professor, doctoral supervisor, Director of the Phenomenology and Psychological Thought Research Center, Zhejiang University. In 2007, he was appointed as Changjiang Scholar distinguished Professor by the Ministry of Education. He is also the editorial board member of the International Journal Of Husserl Studies, the Editorial Board member of the International Journal of Continental Philosophy Review, and a member of the International Scheele Academic Consultative Committee. He is also the editorial director of Chinese Phenomenology and Philosophy Review and The Eastward Study of Western Learning.
