[Programme Intro]:
HKU has been working towards the establishment of a new Master in Medical Ethics & Law programme. The new Master of Laws in Medical Ethics and Law programme LLM (MEL) is now set for launch in the summer of 2019. This is a new ground-breaking interdisciplinary programme that addresses concerns of growing importance at the juncture of the healthcare, law and biomedical research professions. It spans important topics such as consent and confidentiality, decisions at the end of life, medical negligence, and the regulation of biomedical research.
