Led by Prof. Xiaobo WU, SOM Executive Dean and Director of NIIM, Zhejiang University, Associate Prof. Yongyi SHOU, Director of MBA Program Office, Associate Prof. Weihua ZHOU, Associate Prof. Jun JIN and Associate Prof.  Chunhui YE attended the 9th Globelics Conference which was co-held by Universidad Nacional de General Sarmiento (UNGS), Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (UNQ) and Universidad Nacional de San Martín (UNSAM) in Buenos Aires, Argentina during 15-11-2011and17-11-2011.

  In the special session on Exclusive and Institutions in Innovation: Rural India and China, based on the experience of China’s inclusive development, Professor Xiaobo WU proposed to develop inclusive innovation and sustainable development in developing countries.

  As the Chairman of 2012 Globelics Conference, Professor Xiaobo WU introduced School of Management and NIIM, and propagated the 10th Globelics Conference in the meeting. Many organizations and research teams expressed their interest in attending the conference.

  GLOBELICS is an international network of scholars who apply the concept of "learning, innovation, and competence building system" (LICS) as their framework and are dedicated to the strengthening of LICS in developing countries, emerging economies and societies in transition. The research aims at locating unique systemic features as well as generic good practices to enlighten policy making relating to innovation, competence building, international competitiveness, regional development, labor market and human capital development. In an increasingly global and knowledge-based competition, management strategies need to be based upon an understanding of these framework conditions and the public policies which seek to regulate the environment.  

  Theme of the conference this year is Creativity, Innovation and Economic Development: Building Sustainable Innovation Systems in the Globalizing Learning Economy, attended by more than 600 experts and government officials from all over the world. The 10th Globelics conference will be held by School of Management, Zhejiang University, and the theme is Innovation and Development: Opportunities and Challenges in Globalisation.  An estimate of 500 scholars will attend this conference.
