Prof. Jorgen Delman, University of Copenhagen, gave two lectures to CSP students on Oct.12 and Oct.15. He is the second distinguished overseas scholar to have a class for CSP students since Prof. Paul Bailey from University of Durham. In this course, Prof. Jorgen Delman focused on the development of modern China’s social and political issues. Besides, he also probed into some heated issues of modern China under the topic of “China’s political administrative system and the upcoming shift of leadership” and “From ‘worn’ to “green” China-model? China’s growth and its environmental challenges”, sharing his understanding of China’s politics and policy from an overseas perspective. This pragmatic course did great help to enlarge the students’ knowledge of China’s social and political development.
