Zhejiang University Guanghua Law School Admitted to American Society of Comparative Law
On its annual conference held on 4-6 October, 2012, American Society of Comparative Law admitted Zhejiang University Guanghua Law School as its member, the only member in China and meanwhile, it recognized the status of Associate Professor Jin Chengdong, on behalf of Zhejiang University Law School, as its director member and the editing member of its journal.
American Society of Comparative Law, comprising of leading American law schools (research institutes) and law schools (research institutes) of foreign countries with their advantages in comparative laws, is an authoritative organization on American comparative law researches. At present, there are 105 formal members, among which, 100 are American law schools (top 100 law schools in America) and five law schools (research institutes) of foreign countries, namely, Toronto University Law School, Canada, National University of Singapore Law School, Trento University Law School, Italy, Zhejiang University Law School and the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law. The American Journal of Comparative Law is an authoritative academic journal with great influence in the world. In addition, the academic discussions and exchanges held by the Society attract the renowned American and foreign scholars annually.
