Any research fruits during January 1st, 2011 and September 30th, 2013, including academic papers, works (chapters), investigation or research reports, unpublished manuscripts and hard copies on humanities and social sciences written by full-time undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral candidates while studying in Zhejiang University and with Zhejiang University as the undersigned unit, are eligible for this Program, which aims to motivate students’ enthusiasm in research, sharpen students’ innovation in humanities and social sciences, encourage students’ interdisciplinary studies.

The researches can be completed by individual students or a group of students of Zhejiang University, or with the cooperation between Zhejiang University students and students of other universities. As for intra-university researches, the applicant should be the first author; as for cooperative works, the students of Zhejiang University should be the first author or the corresponding author. The undergraduate applicants can be the second author.

Academic papers and works with originality should be publicly published. The investigation reports should have solid or reasonable suggestions, supplemented with the certificates by relevant departments or recommended by three professors in and outside Zhejiang University. Unpublished manuscripts or hard copies should have independent and original thinking and be recommended by three professors in and outside Zhejiang University. Undergraduates can also apply SRTP fruits for this Program.

The awards, up to 50 items in total, are classified into Special Awards, First, Second and Third Awards at excellent achievements of undergraduates and postgraduates. The undergraduates winning Special Awards are eligible for doctoral candidates without examinations, or awarded a research funding of 15,000 yuan or an international workshop. The undergraduates winning the other awards will be granted corresponding awards too. The postgraduates will be financed 5,000 to 30,000 yuan respectively or an international exchange program lasting from one month to six months.
