The International Academic Symposium Co-hosted By Zhejiang University and Paris-Sorbonne University Held in Hangzhou
The International Symposium of “Globalization, National Development Mode and Enterprise Strategies from 19th to 20th Centuries” co-hosted by Research Institute of World History at Zhejiang University and Centre Roland Mousnier at Paris-Sorbonne University was held in Zhejiang University from 6th to 8th November, 2014. The Symposium was a preparatory one for 22nd CISH/ICHS, a grand event in the international history circle to be held in August, 2015.
CISH/ICHS, held every five years, is renowned as “Olympic Games” in the circle of history initiated in 1900. The 22nd CISH/ICHS is not only the first one held in China, but the first held in a country other than a European or American country. Professor Dominique Barjot from Paris-Sorbonne University and Professor Lv Yimin from Zhejiang University chaired the Symposium.
Present at the Symposium were 16 foreign experts from University of Paris III: Sorbonne Nouvelle and Paris-Sorbonne University, University of Bergen of Norway, Université du Qubec à Trois-Rivires, Waseda University of Japan, Seoul National University of South Korea, Institute of Southeast Asian Studies of Singapore and 21 Chinese and foreign scholars made keynote speeches.
