Journal of Multicultural Discourses Included in ESCI Database
Recently, Journal of Multicultural Discourses, with Professor SHI Xu as editor-in-chief and published by Routledge of Taylor & Francis, was included in Emerging Sources Citation Index database (No. 2050). The journal, since its first publication in 2006, has turned out 29 issues in 11 volumes and there are 4 issues annually beginning from 2016.
The journal, from multicultural and interdisciplinary perspectives, tries to analyze, interpret and evaluate social phenomena and issues based on verbal communication. The papers are of five major categories. 1. Deconstruct and innovate discourse and communication disciplines from multicultural perspectives. 2. Construct and reshape the discourse and communication research models with cultural innovation and benefitting cultural prosperity from multicultural perspectives. 3. Interpret and explain the discourse and communication practices of marginal cultures and vulnerable groups. 4. Expose and deconstruct cultural hegemonism in discourse and communication. 5. Discover and sort out the discourse and communication activities conducive to harmonious development of human culture.
