【Speaker Intro】
Babatunde Ahonsi, new United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Representative for China, holds a Bachelor of Science degree with first class honors from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and a PhD in population studies from the London School of Economics, which he undertook as a Commonwealth Scholar (1988-1992). He has served as a Trustee of International Women’s Health Coalition, New York (2010-2014), and on the inaugural Board of the UN University’s International Institute for Global Health, Kuala Lumpur (2008-2014). He has published widely in scientific journals and books, and is a member of the Editorial Boards of African Population Studies, and African Journal of Reproductive Health.
