【Speaker Introduction】：Zhang Fujian, Ph.D. of the Institute of Political Science, Taiwan National Chengchi University. He served as the deputy director of the Taiwan Humanities and Social Sciences Center and the executive director of the Center for Political Thought Research.
【Lecture Abstract】：John Adams, the famous early American political thinker and the later second president, had a very good comment on the argument of the well-known thinker Thomas Paine's book Common Sense: “Payne’s thoughts are longer than destruction and shorter than construction.” It is true that since the great revolution in modern times, the original old government was destroyed by the power of destruction, but there were few countries that could successfully end the chaotic reconstruction order and “authority”. The early US was an exception.
