A Study on Poetic Languages of the Han, Wei and Six Dynasties’ Periods, by studying the poetic languages of the Han, Wei and Six Dynasties’ Periods, discusses the profile of medieval poetic languages, their origin, evolution and grammatical features as well as history, current state and textual research methods of medieval poetic vocabulary studies. The book is a combination of theoretic ideas and textual studies with many examples. In sum, the book is featured by, first, focusing on demonstrative study, rigid textual research and abundant materials; second, innovative textual explanations of words; third, generalizing many language features and rules and fourth, paying attention to the origin and process of certain linguistic phenomena. It won The Third Prize in Linguistics of Excellent Achievements Awards of the 3rd Research on Humanities and Social Sciences of Chinese Institutions of Higher Learning.
