Logic and Understanding of the Natural Language probes the understanding of natural language from a new interdisciplinary study of logics and linguistics. Based on the authenticity, appropriateness, effectiveness and communications of the natural language, the book shows very obvious features of Chinese logic from the special syntactic, semantic and pragmatic analyses. In addition, it shows features of composite logic study by using many logic tools to study the natural language, and integrates form study and non-form study, syntactic, semantic and pragmatic studies. It aims at combining the logic discussion of natural language with the computer information processing, providing a sound way for the computer to understand the language, which accords with our era of the information society in the study of natural language logic. It won The Third Prize in Logics of Excellent Achievements Awards of the 3rd Research on Humanities and Social Sciences of Chinese Institutions of Higher Learning.
