Mr. Tian Zhengping was born in 1944, and currently a professor and doctoral supervisor with an orientation in Chinese education history and director-general of Education History Branch of Chinese Education Association, deputy director-general of Research Institute of Chinese Regional Education Historic Records. He has published several books, e.g. Overseas Students and the Modernization of Chinese Education, A Research on Modern Chinese Compulsory Education. In addition, several of his books were published, e.g. A Profile on the Characteristics of Modern Chinese Educationists as a Group and The Fever of Studying in Japan and the Education at the end Qing Dynasty.
