Checking and Annotating on the Waterways Classic is considered the authoritative academic work essential to the interpretation of The Waterways Classic in the Studies of Li. Based on the Sibu Congkan edition of The Waterways Classic, the author, taking reference from 30-odd editions, making use of a lot of local chronicles and other documents, punctuates, checks and annotates The Waterways Classic with the author’s understanding of the Studies of Li of more than 60 years and the academic fruits at home and abroad. It won The Third Prize in Chinese History of Excellent Achievements Awards of the 5th Research on Humanities and Social Sciences of Chinese Institutions of Higher Learning.
