A Complete Work of the Collation and Explanation of Inscriptions on Oracle Bones, a large project achievement on the classification and research of the inscriptions on oracle bones, makes a comprehensive collection of the publications of the oracles of the Shang Dynasty unearthed so far for over 100 years. To sum up, it is the most complete work on the writing, collection and compilation of oracle studies, since 9 works, about 65,000 pieces of oracle bones at home and abroad are collected. And the book consists of 20 volumes with more than 5 million words. Qiu Xikui, an expert in Paleography and professor at Fudan University recommends the book to the National Excellent Ancient Book Award and highly commends it “the most complete book in the writing, collection and compilation of oracle studies”, and it will “definitely boost the on-going development of oracle studies and it is a reference book with great significance and academic value on oracle studies”. It won The First Prize in Linguistics of Excellent Achievements Awards of the 5th Research on Humanities and Social Sciences of Chinese Institutions of Higher Learning.
