As a high level international academic communication platform, the International Conference on Social Security has been successfully held for 8 years in China, Japan and South Korea since its inception in 2005. It is one of significant conferences in the Asian and international social welfare/ social security academic communities, which promotes academic communication and exchanges of their experiences between scholars from different countries. On the basis of the previous forums, the Ninth International Conference on Social Security will be held in Zhejiang University in Hangzhou of Zhejiang province from August 24^th to 26^th, 2013.

This forum is jointly hosted by Zhejiang University, Renmin University of China, Comparative Social Policy Network of South Korea, and Japan-China-Korea Exchange Committee for Social Security Research of Japan. Both international and domestic well-known experts/ researchers, representatives of institutions and professional elites in the related fields from Japan, South Korea, Europe, America, Australia and China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) are invited to give a presentation at the conference. We sincerely welcome researchers, teachers and students from colleges and research institutes to actively submit their papers. The excellent authors will be invited as a representative to present on the forum.

In 2013, the Ninth International Conference on Social Security is settled in Hangzhou, a historical city with a reputation of “Heaven on Earth”. We cordially invite scholars at home and abroad to get together at the West Lake in the early autumn. Let us share the fruitful achievements of international social security research frontiers, and talk about the better future of social security development!
