Professor Chengri Ding Gave Lectures Entitled Urban Economics Empirical Research
On March 22, 2018, Professor Chengri Ding, Director of China Urban Development and Land Policy Research Center, University of Maryland gave lectures to teachers and students of school of public affairs entitled Urban Economics Empirical research.
Prof. Chengri Ding studied this proposition through three cases. The first one used the existing empirical research in the UK to explain the unemployed effects of the interdependent workplaces and residential sites on foreclosures from the spatial relationship between housing and the labor market. The second case study was the relationship between the land housing market and the urban spatial structure. The third case study used Beijing's land development data to estimate the economic cost of building height restrictions.
