On March 11th , 2019, Prof. Alex Neill, Vice President of the University of Southampton; Professor Sarah Pearce, Dean of the School of Humanities; and Jiang Xiaoyue, Internationalization Commissioner of the Ministry of Arts and Humanities visited our school and held talks on the Master's Dual Degree Program.
Professor Alex Neill expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of the School of Humanities and conveyed the consensus of the two chambers on the willingness to cooperate. Then, Professor Sarah Pearce gave a brief introduction of the School of Humanities Southampton University. He said that the purpose of the visit was to seek in-depth cooperation between the two schools, and to discuss the promotion of comparative literature and world literature, linguistics and history. Specific cooperation can be achieved in the fields of world history, philosophy and archaeology (marine archaeology and cultural heritage), and he hopes to determine the details of the “1+1+1” dual-degree program through this visit.
Finally, the members of the two sides cooperated based on their interests and research directions, and they may have communicated deeply about cooperation.
