Research Center for Information Resources Analysis and Application, Zhejiang University
Located in Library of Zhejiang University, Research Center for Information Resources Analysis and Application, Zhejiang University was established in November 2010, whose director is Tian Ji, Deputy Director of Library of Zhejiang University. It mainly investigates information retrieval and application, information and comparison of domestic and foreign first-class universities, analysis of discipline competitiveness and development trend, and journal evaluation and research. Since its establishment, Research Center for Information Resources Analysis and Application has finished more than 60 consulting reports and empirical analysis under the commission of faculties, colleges and departments of ZJU, such as Comparative Analysis of Zhejiang University and Domestic and International First-class Universities, Analysis of Contributions of ESI Engineering of Zhejiang University and Analysis of Frontier and Hot Spots in Marine Science and Engineering of Zhejiang University. Its research results have been widely adopted.
Based on professional tools for information analysis and mining, factual data, scientific information and literature, Research Center for Information Resources Analysis and Application conducts studies on various evaluation index systems, such as the evaluation of universities, evaluation of disciplines, evaluation of results and evaluation of talents. Facing needs of constructing a first-class discipline system and talent teams and relying on rich resources and talents of Library of Zhejiang University, it is committed to providing decision-making information and intellectual support for evaluation of disciplines and talents.
