Established in 2006, Research Center for Communication and Cultural Industry, Zhejiang Province is one of the initial key research bases on philosophy and social sciences in Zhejiang. Integrating related resources of Institute of Media and Communication, Zhejiang University and Zhejiang University of Media and Communications and relying on one doctoral program, three master programs and three provincial key disciplines of the two universities, it conducts studies on major practical and theoretical issues on the development of national communication and cultural industry and the construction of a Cultural Giant of Zhejiang Province.
With strong scientific research strength, rich research results and fruitful research materials, Research Center for Communication and Cultural Industry has edited five national key teaching materials and published over 50 monographs and more than 260 papers. It also annually publishes four issues of China Media Report and China Media Research. It finishes 3 large research reports and publishes 12 academic monographs and over 60 papers, making a domestically leading position in studies on communication and media management.
