Center for Quality Management Research, Zhejiang University was reorganized on the basis of Institute for Quality Management Research in January 2014. Focusing on quality, it is an interdisciplinary professional quality research and service agency combining scientific researches, personnel training and consulting services and also domestic authoritative research base for quality functional development (QFD).

Faced with national major and hot practical issues on quality, Center for Quality Management Research concentrates on new areas of quality studies, including quality innovation, ecological quality, medical quality, food quality and safety, supply chain quality and neural quality management. It has undertaken over 50 major projects of National Natural Science Fund, National Social Science Fund, National 863 Plan, National Science and Technology Projects and Ministry of Education, as well as more than 100 international cooperative projects, governmental consulting projects and enterprise commissioned projects. It has also won over 10 provincial, ministerial and national awards and held a dozen international and domestic academic conferences. Besides, it has published more than 10 monographs and over 500 papers in SSCI / SCI, EI and domestic important journals.
