“The Ninth International Symposium on Entrepreneurship and Family Businesses” Held in Zhejiang University
When the growth, inheritance and transformation of family businesses arouses people’s interest, the “Ninth International Symposium on Entrepreneurship and Family Businesses”, with the theme of “Inheritance of Chinese Family Businesses” was held on October 17th and 18th, 2013 in Zhejiang University.
The Symposium was co-hosted by School of Management of Zhejiang University and Zhejiang University City College (ZUCC), organized by Research Center of World Entrepreneurship of Zhejiang University, School of Business and School of Entrepreneurship Education of ZUCC, assisted by Institute of World Zhejiang Entrepreneurs of Zhejiang University, Research Center of Chinese Family Businesses of Sun Yat-sun University, Office of Management World, Research Center of Entrepreneurship and Family Businesses of ZUCC and financed by discipline construction funding of School of Management of Zhejiang University, funding of Zhejiang University Fotile Family Business and construction funding of corporate management, a key provincial discipline of ZUCC.
Besides, Professor Bradley L. Kirkman from North Carolina State University, Professor Sara Rynes from Iowa University, editor-in-chief of Management Organization Review, America, Professor Anne Tsui from Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, Jess H. Chua, Professor of finance and family business management at University of Calgary and chair professor of family business at Zhejiang University, Professor Jin Leqi from HKUST Business School, Professor Zheng Hongtai from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Professor Li Xinchun and Professor Chu Xiaoping from Sun Yat-sen University, Professor Zhou Shengchun and Associate Professor Dou Junsheng from Zhejiang University were present at the Symposium and delivered keynote speeches. The Symposium attracted over 100 scholars and postgraduates from institutions of higher learning and research institutes at home and abroad.
