The Symposium on Economic Explanation by Professor Steven N. S. Cheung was held in Zhejiang University on 1st and 2nd November, 2014, attracting over 100 distinguished scholars to elaborate on the academic ideas embodied in Economic Explanation and the development of economics.

Present at the Symposium were the experts and scholars of economics, e.g. Zhang Shuguang, Zhou Qiren, Xu Chenggang, Zhang Weiying, Zhang Jun, Sheng Hong, Li Weisen, Shi Jinchuan, Yao Xianguo and Luo Weidong and they held vigorous discussions on a range of key theoretic and practical economic issues, including the inheritance and innovation of Economic Explanation, property rights theories, government and state theories as well as Chinese economic transformations.
