On 20th January, 2015, after a series of public procedures of recruitment, recommendation from related schools and departments, selection by Zhejiang University Appraisal and Selection Commission on Senior Professors of Liberal Arts and finally recognition by Zhejiang University Conference, Zhejiang University issued “No. 8 Personnel Document of 2015” declaring Professor Xu Dai from College of Media and International Culture, Professor Shi Jinchuan from School of Economics, Professor Wang Guiguo from Guanghua Law School and Professor Yao Xianguo from School of Public Affairs were recognized as Zhejiang University senior professors of liberal arts and thus Zhejiang University boasts eight senior professors of liberal arts up to now.

The other four senior professors of liberal arts recognized formerly are Professor Wang Chongming from School of Management, Professor Tian Zhengping from College of Education, Professor Zhang Yongquan from School of Humanities and Professor Zhang Wenxian from Guanghua Law School.
