To further promote the construction of Zhejiang University Synergic and Innovation Center for “One Belt and One Road” Cooperation and Development and clarify the cooperation mechanism with other core partners, Luo Weidong, director of the Center visited the relevant organizations in Beijing.

The team led by Professor Luo Weidong first visited Beijing University and received a warm welcome from Liu Wei, Executive Vice President of Peking University. Luo Weidong gave a brief introduction to the general situation of the Center and expressed the wish to conduct holistic and comprehensive cooperation with Peking University with the hope of finding a new feasible path for the mechanism of the Center. Liu Wei said that Peking University attaches great importance to being invited as a core partner for the construction of Center, so it is supportive of further cooperation with Zhejiang University to jointly build the center.

Later, the team visited the Ministry of Commerce, and had a cordial conversation with Zhou Liujun, Chief of the Division of Foreign Trade. Zhou Liujun said, “One Belt and One Road” is a major national strategy and Zhejiang University has a solid foundation and power in this regard, so the Ministry of Commerce, as a major propeller of “One Belt and One Road” strategy, will strongly support the construction of the Center.
