Over 100 experts, scholars and officials from universities and research institutions discussed the establishment of the Council for the Center on “One Belt and One Road” Cooperation and Development Collaborative Innovation and jointly issued“HangzhouDeclaration” on June 6. The Center, initiated by Zhejiang University, was guided by Zhejiang University, Peking University and Institute of Geographic Sciencesand Natural Resources of Chinese Academy of Sciences. It also makes collaborationwith Zhongshan University,Institute of Asia-PacificandGlobalStrategy of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Yunnan University, BeijingLanguage and Culture University,SecondMarineInstitute of State Oceanic Administration,Tarim University and Dunhuang Academy, and gets support from National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, State Oceanic Administration, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government. The meeting examined and adopted “Regulations of the Center on “One Belt and One Road” Cooperation and Development Collaborative Innovation” and lists of the Central Council, Academic Committee and Management Committee.
