International Forum on “One Belt and One Road” Held by Zhejiang University Guanghua Law School in Hong Kong

International Forum on “One Belt and One Road” co-hosted by Zhejiang University Guanghua Law School and Hong Kong WTO Research Center held its opening ceremony in Hong Kong on July 24. Leading scholars from more than ten countries and regions along “One Belt and One Road”, e.g. France, Switzerland, India and Sri Lanka were invited to the Forum. Tsang Chun-wah, Hong Kong SAR Government Financial Secretary, Qiu Hong, Deputy Director of Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Hong Kong, Zhou Guping, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Zhejiang University, and Dr. Lee Yuk Lun, President of Hong Kong Federation of Industry and Commerce were official guests. Zhou Guping made a speech on the opening ceremony on behalf of Zhejiang University and the Center on “One Belt and One Road” Cooperation and Development Collaborative Innovation.

 

Wang Guiguo, initiator of the Forum, senior professor of liberal arts in Zhejiang University, stressed the importance of “One Belt and One Road” on world’s political and economic pattern in his opening speech. This Forum contained three seminars, namely, “One Belt and One Road and global economicgeopolitics and culture”, “One Belt and One Road and contemporary international law—existing framework and integration” and “challenges and visions of One Belt and One Road —from legal perspective”.
