The Inauguration of Maritime Silk Road Shipping Big Data Center and the Forum on “Maritime Silk Road Index”, hosted by Maritime Silk Road Team, Leading Team Office of Promoting “The Belt and Road Initiative” Construction, co-organized by China Academy of West Region Development (CAWD), Zhejiang University and Ningbo Shipping Exchange, were held on March 7th in Zhejiang University. Those present at the Forum included OU Xiaoli, Leader of Maritime Silk Road Team, Leading Team Office of Promoting “The Belt and Road Initiative” Construction and Inspector of Department of West Development, National Development and Reform Commission; CAI Jin, Deputy Director of China Federation of Logistics &Purchasing;HU Jiangchao, Director of Zhejiang Province Association of Logistics & Planning; ZHANG Yan, Deputy Secretary General of Ningbo People’s Government; Professor LUO Weidong, Vice President of Zhejiang University and Director of the Center on “The Belt and Road” Cooperation and Development Collaborative Innovation, Zhejiang University, CHEN Chun, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering as well as over 40 experts and scholars from the departments of Ningbo People’s Government and some universities. The Forum was chaired by Professor ZHOU Guping, Vice Secretary General of the CPC Committee of Zhejiang University, President of the CAWD and Executive Director of the Academic Committee of the Center on “The Belt and Road” Cooperation and Development Collaborative Innovation, Zhejiang University. In addition, the CAWD signed the “Cooperative Agreement on Maritime Silk Road Index Project” with Ningbo Shipping Exchange; Ningbo Shipping Exchange signed the “Cooperative Agreement on Maritime Silk Road Composite Index Research and Implementation Project” with China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing.
