On April 15th, the initiation of 2016 Projects on Major Basic Theoretic Reserches of Zhejiang University and the ceremony for signing these projects were held in Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University. Professor YU Xunda, President of Research Institute of Social Sciences declared the project list and signed the agreements with 13 winners of the projects present at the ceremony. Professor LUO Weidong, Vice President of Zhejiang University delivered a speech.

The projects were initiated in 2016 upon the decisions by ZJU independent research plan leading team. The projects, following the procedure of recommendation, appraisal and decision-making, aim to fund those scholars with good academic reputation and credit, excellent preliminary researches and long-time dedication to basic theoretic researches.
