On July 29th and 30th, ZHOU Guping, Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee, Director of the Center on “The Belt and Road” Cooperation and Development Collaborative Innovation of Zhejiang University and SHI Jinchuan,Senior Professor of Liberal Arts of Zhejiang University were invited to be present at 2016 Think 20 Summit held in Beijing. With the theme of “Building New Global Relationships—New Drive, New Vitality and New Prospects”, the Summit attracted 500-odd distinguished guests from over 20 countries, including the representatives of top 100 think tanks, some political VIPs, the experts from the UNDP and the OECD, to explore the construction of new global relationships.

Professor ZHOU Guping, in the high-end dialogue “Expectations on Chinese G20 Hangzhou Summit”, delivered a lecture entitled “Providing Innovative and Entrepreneurial Talent Support to the Construction of ‘The Belt and Road’ Initiative’”, emphasizing the relationship between “The Belt and Road” Initiative, innovative development and talent cultivation. She pointed out that the world economy is in a key transitional period, so it is of great significance for Zhejiang University to provide the driving force to the Chinese and world economy by cultivating a large number of innovative and entrepreneurial talents while Zhejiang University is trying to build a world first-class university.
