In early April 2017, Professor Björn Ahl visited  the Guanghua Law School and taught several classes to the new LL.M and SJD in Chinese Law students on China and International Law.

Professor Ahl is currently Chair Professor of Chinese Legal Culture at the University of Cologne in Germany and he is one of the leading scholars in the research field of Chinese practice of international law. This year, professor Ahl's discussion covered a number of topics such as the UNCLOS and South China Sea Arbitration, China's emerging role in international rule-making, historical perspective of China's position on international law, so on and so forth. Guanghua law students participated actively on and after class with Professor Ahl.
