On March 25th, 2017, “Joint-Lab for ITS Big Data” was officially established in Zhejiang University; present at the ceremony were Zhou Weihua, Vice Dean of School of Management and Director of Center of Digital Analysis and Management, Zhejiang University as well as some representatives of Wujiang Zhi Yuan Information Technology Co., Ltd. and Suzhou China Transportation Data Clouder.

Taking advantage of Zhejiang University in theoretical research and educational training, as well as two companies in new smart-city construction, smart transportation, big data management, especially practical needs for big data theories and practice, Joint-Lab for ITS Big Data, one of the first university-business cooperative big data labs for smart transportation in China, was established.

The Joint-Lab has branches in Hangzhou and Suzhou. The three parties concerned reached an agreement that the Lab, as a start of cooperation, would strengthen their cooperation in “big intelligence, big data and big transportation” based on the integration of production, studying and research, of theory and practice with the “Open, inclusive, sharing and win-win” principles.
