International Forum on “Maritime Logistics of One Belt One Road”
On April 23, 2017, International Forum on “Maritime Logistics of One Belt One Road”, hosted by Zhejiang University, sponsored by School of Management and co-organized by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and International Center for Maritime and Logistics Management of ZJU and PolyU, was held in Zhejiang University. Those who were present and delivered speeches included Prof. Song Yonghua, Managing Vice President of ZJU, Ren Zhong, Vice Director of Zhejiang Communications, Prof. Wu Xiaobo, Dean of School of Management and Prof. Yang Changliang, Dean of Department of Logistics & Maritime Studies, PolyU.
Four parallel sessions, with the respective themes of “Port Development”, “Education and Training in Maritime Logistics”, “Shipping Lines” and “Maritime Logistics Market”, consisted of 12 keynote speeches and subsequent discussions, attracting many famous experts and scholars at home and abroad, such as, Ning Tao, Director of China Waterborne Transport Research Institute, Huang Dalei, Chief Engineer of COSCO Shipping Logistics Co., Ltd., Xu Jingxin, Senior Manager of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, Prof. Lv Jinshan from the PolyU, Prof. Theo Notteboom from Ghent University, Belgium, Prof. Anming Zhang from University of British Columbia, Canada, Prof. Kevin Li from Chung-Ang University, South Korea to address the frontier and hot issues related to the maritime logistics of the OBOR.
