Marielza Olivera, Director of UNESCO office in Beijing, visited Zhejiang University (ZJU) on Sept.24th. Led by Xiaozhou Xu, Dean of the Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences (H&SS), visiting the H&SS office and the Cultural Heritage Institutes. They made in-depth exchanges on their future corporations.

Dean Xu and his staff from H&SS introduced Zhejiang University and the overview of humanities and social sciences to Dr. Marielza, presenting from the perspectives of organizational structure, research funds, student composition, talent teams, social services, cultural transmission and globalization .

Moreover, Dean Xu showed the complete works of paintings of SONG Dynasty which was donated to UNESCO and National Library of France by ZJU in 2015 to Dr. Marielza. She expressed her admiration to Zhejiang University and gave the recognition of contributions that H&SS has made to the vigorous development of humanities and social sciences area of ZJU. Dean Xu and Ms. Mareilza reached the intention of the future cooperation.

Ms. Mareilza, accompanied by Dean Xu and staffs from H&SS, visited the Cultural Heritage Institutes and watched the model of Art& Archaeology Museum under construction and some cultural relics from the late Qing Dynasty and the early  Republic of China donated by the folk collectors.
