Established on December 29, 2016, Research Center of Digital Publishing, Zhejiang University (abbr. ZJU-DPC) was co-built by Zhejiang University Press, School of Humanities and College of Computer Science and Technology, ZJU. Administratively affiliated to Zhejiang University Press, it involves publishing and communication, creative design, computer science and technology and other disciplines, to conduct relevant comprehensive researches, especially studies on application strategies and industrial forms.

Based on the needs for serving national strategy, regional development, discipline construction and personnel training, ZJU-DPC mainly researches digital education, digital reading, digital culture and integrated development, and also actively promotes integrated development and upgrading of the publishing industry, development of information economy industry, interdisciplinary integration and innovation and entrepreneurship. Gathering domestic and foreign well-known scholars of first-class research teams in the academia and industry, it strives to become an influential research and innovation talent training base at home and abroad during the Thirteen Five-year Plan.
