The biennial meeting of the Economic Society of Singapore and the Singapore Economic Review Conference were held in Singapore from August 5^th to 7^th, 2019. Professor Wang Zhikai, Vice-Director of Center for Research of Private Economy, Zhejiang University, was invited to attend the meeting where he delivered a report entitled “Challenges Facing China in Pursuing High-quality Development”. The report accurately assessed the structural problems and bottlenecks existing in China’s economy, objectively analyzed the challenges posed by high-quality economic development, and finally proposed corresponding measures.

Professor Wang Zhikai, representing the Center for Research of Private Economy, Zhejiang University, attended the signing ceremony of Research Centers Networking Group (RCNG) Agreement on August 7^th, 2019. 11 academic research institutes joined the Group such as the Asian Development Bank Institute, College of Business and Economics, Australian National University, and Graduate School of Economics, Waseda University. The Group provides researchers from member units with a free and effective platform for visits, exchanges and cooperation.
