TANG Qian

Former Assistant Director-General, Education, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

TANG Qian received his PhD in philosophy from University of Windsor, Canada. He joined UNESCO’s Section for Technical and Vocational Education in 1993, and served as Director of the Division of Secondary, Technical and Vocational Education in 2000, and then Director of the Executive Office of the Education Sector and Deputy Assistant Director-General for Education. After 2010, he became Assistant Director-General for Education in UNESCO.
