英国伯明翰大学Wolfgang Teubert教授来外语学院作学术报告

      世界著名语料库语言学家、英国伯明翰大学语料库语言学研究中心教授Wolfgang Teubert教授应邀于2006年10月13日在浙江大学外国语言文化与国际交流学院作了题为The Scope of Corpus Linguistics的专题讲座。讲座涉及了语料库语言学的原则、语料库建设及其工具开发、语料库的应用、平行语料库、语料库语言学与批判话语分析等语料库研究中的重要问题。外语学院教师、研究生共计一百余人聆听了本次讲座，并与Teubert教授就有关问题进行了热烈的讨论。本次讲座既是对初次接触语料库语言学者的一次启蒙教育，又给已经在语料库语言学领域有一定研究经验的师生指明了语料库语言学的一些新的研究领域以及研究方向。

 

Professor Wolfgang Teubert, a world-renowned corpus linguist, professor at the Center of Corpus Linguistics, Birmingham University, United Kingdom, gave a talk on the topic of “The Scope of Corpus Linguistics” on Oct.13, 2006 at the School of International Studies. His talk deals with issues like the principles of corpus linguistics, corpus composition and compilation, methodology and software development, the intertextuality issue, parallel corpora, corpus linguistics and critical discourse analysis. The talk is more than an introductory talk about corpus linguistics, it gives those who have some research experience in the field of corpus linguistics much food for thought, especially those who are interested in critical discourse analysis.
