演讲人简介：

Astrid Erll is Professor of English Literature and Culture at the University of Wuppertal, Germany. She studied English and German philology at Justus-Liebig-Univeryit, Gießen, Germany, and worked (between 2003 and 2007) as a researcher at the Gießen collaborative research centre "Memory Cultures". Her main fields of interest are British literature and cultural history, cultural memory, postcolonial studies, media theory, and narratology.

Publications include an introduction to cultural memory studies (Kollektives Gedächtnis und Erinnerungskulturen, 2005) and a book on the medial representations of the “Indian Mutiny” (Prämediation - Remediation, 2007). Together with Ansgar Nünning she is general editor of the series Media and Cultural Memory/Medien und kulturelle Erinnerung (MCM, de Gruyter, since 2004) and co-editor of Cultural Memory Studies: An International and Interdisciplinary Handbook (2008). Together with Ann Rigney she edited Literature and the Production of Cultural Memory (European Journal of English Studies 10.1 (2005)) and Mediation, Remediation and the Dynamics of Cultural Memory (2009).
