关于Peter Swirski教授的学术讲座的通知

讲座题目American Literary History, or Just American History?
It is mainly a discussion of Ken Kesey’s One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, with an analysis of the deficits of American  democracy, both from the point of view of electoral anomalies and by comparison with the direct-democracy system of Switzerland.

演讲人简介:Doctor Swirski is an Honorary Professor of University of St. Louis, Associate Professor of University of Hong Kong, and Director of American Studies of University of Hong Kong. His research field mainly covers: 1. modern and contemporary American literature and culture, 2. American popular fiction, popular culture and film, 3. historical, Political, Social Perspectives on American Culture, 4. critical theory and methodology, analytic aesthetics, 5. Stanislaw Lem, literature and science, science fiction. He has published many books and articles. Here is a list of his books:
