报告人简介：
罗兰•W•路易斯（Roland W. Lewis）教授
School of Engineering, Swansea University (FormerlyUniversity of Wales, Swansea), UK
罗兰•W•路易斯（Roland W. Lewis）教授是世界著名计算力学专家。1984年起任威尔士大学斯旺西分校教授，1996-2002年任机械工程学系系主任，1997年成为英国皇家工程院院士。2002年获国际计算力学协会计算力学奖，并成为协会会士。他的主要研究方向包括铸造过程中的流动和凝固、多孔介质中的传质传热、多孔材料中的固结和流动、颗粒材料的压实等。他是International Journal ofNumerical Methods in Engineering、Communications in Numerical Methods in Engineering、International Journal forNumerical Methods in Heat and Fluid Flow的主编，以及其它12个国际学报的编委。其中International Journal ofNumerical Methods in Engineering是国际上工程中的数值方法方面的两本最权威期刊之一，他长期担任该学报的主编，具有极大的学术影响力。
